SAKINA FAMILY RETREAT

This is one of the best thing and home retreat that you should never miss!
This is a multi-purpose home stays where our clients are met by Mama Mirian (Mrs. Miriam), home attendant and welcome them to know about the real daily African life.
After checking in your room, you will be welcomed by African drink of the day, you will be briefed about your trip in our meeting room before going with Miriam or any women cook to the local market buy food stuff for your dinner.
You will be taught how to cook using African clay pots and eat in African way (using hands instead of spoons and forks).
In the evening you will join our cultural dancing group and learn how to dance and sing African songs and their meaning.
Those who like "Nyama Choma" (Barbeque), they will join the African grill set on the compound. Here you can make your own Nyama choma or just order from our chef. We have Nyama choma for: Kuku (chicken), Ng'ombe (Beef), Mbuzi (Goat) or "Kiti Moto" (Pork). We also have other African dishes and for those clients who want to cook their own home food, they are welcomed in the kichen.
» Miriam and Neema Tailor and African Gift shop
Miriam and Neema are very good in Tailoring, especially for African women clothes. They make and sell Vitenge and Kanga (Batik and African clothes) and also table clothes. Here you can join them and learn how to measure your own cloth, learn how sew it using sewing machine in the same compound. If you would like, you can buy Kitenge or Kanga, make your body measurement and they will your cloth within 48hours, and you will be back home dressing the African way.
» Language Department
If you are interested, our Guides/Teachers will teach you basic Swahili, Maasai or any language that you will using while on tour or on the street.
» Porters Club
There is a small bar (Kilimanjaro) where Porters meet and have a drink after the climb or any time when they are free. The membership is TSHS 5000 per year. In this club, Guides and Porters are allowed to borrow money, drinks for their families when they have no money. You are welcomed also to drink, play pool, watch satelited movies, live football while listening African Music.
» After the Climb or Safari
After the climb, ourclients we will taken together with their Porters and Guides will taken here, wash and change clothes before joining a common lunch/dinner cooked with our African women chefs.The food is served at the Porters club. Here the clients will give their thanks to their crew (tips) if any. For the clients who might need to stay with Porters' family, we will arrange from here by leaving their luggage at our storage room.
